IVA and attachment of earnings

in IVA & DRO
Hi my husband was left in a huge financial mess after his divorce, his ex wife got everything and he got given the family debts, this along with all the court bills saw him having to enter into an iva. Along with the house and 68% of his pension the ex got awarded £7000 lump sum, due to having no means of paying that money and entering into an iva, the company dealing with his iva contacted the ex wife's solicitor and offered to pay it in instalments of £60 a month to which she agreed. However since May when this was done we have found it impossible to get her to give us her bank details to set up the DD dispite asking on numerous occassions.
My husband has now received a letter from court saying she is applying for attachment of earnings and we'll be back in court on the 4th January, deep joy.
My question is is can they do an attachment of earnings as the iva is in place and has obviously been work out on how much money he earns and that he pays her mortgage and £60 plus all our bills?
Also are we now better off going bankrupt?
