Thanks this is a very good version. I like the tabs feature and it also works faster. Great product.0

Just switched over to the newer version. Brilliant!!
I agree with Lord Gardiner though, pity that some of the extensions I had are now not compatible.0 -
I do like Firefox, but what stops me from using it is that it wont play videos in YOUTUBE and doesn`t load the extra options to customise messages in MSN groups etc.
Maybe there are some plug-ins out there that will work? Especially for youtube...it just plays the sound but no video. Works fine in IE

Click the Help menu and then About Firefox. Not sure, I've been using Firefox for years now and I found out through here rather than the auto updates.Ronn1e wrote:I have been using Firefox for over a year now and get regular updates. Will these updates upgrade me to Firefox 2 or will I have to download it? How do Icheck what version of Firefox I now have?
I've extensions (Addons in Firefox 2) so that just through one click I can switch to either IE & IE tab view (IE View & IE Tab) or Opera (Opera View, must have Opera installed). You can also make certain sites automatically open in IE, I do that for Gmail and YouTube. If you go into the Tools menu go down to Always View This Page in IE (probably part of one of the above IE extensions). I totally love Firefox for totally advert free surfing.

I've the exact same problem with just those sites, even though my browser's totally Java & Flash updated. Every other site works fine, YouTube just refuses to work although their videos works perfectly fine on MySpace. So it has to be site compatibility issues all down the Microsoft pro camps (Firefox is hated by certain websites, because of its advert stripping abilities).tctjeremy wrote:I think you need to download macromedia or java. I only use Firefox, and have never had an issue with YouTube or MySpace not loading. Will be downloading the new version at lunchtime. :T£2 Savers club, joined Feb 2006.

They used to work for me too, until two updates ago. Do you run NoScript?tightfella wrote:I only use Firefox, and have never had an issue with YouTube or MySpace not loading. Will be downloading the new version at lunchtime. :T

Firefox Rocks the best thing to happen to the web ever, if anyone is getting Java / Flash issues with myspace and similar sites please try this.
Back Firefox Faves
Complete uninstall firefox / sunjava / flashplayer etcall related plugins
RESTART PC
Install new fresh Firefox 2.0
Install Java and flashplayer etc
And all being well it should work great.
I followed this advice and I am running with no issues."Don't panic just chill out and smile"
