Not sure if this is in the right place, feel free to move if not.
DD`s friend dropped DD`s Nokia X6 phone a couple of weeks ago and the screen has cracked. Phone was working until yesterday, not working now.
My question is, would we be able to replace the screen ourselves - how difficult would it be, and where would be the best place to purchase replacement, Nokia ? or anywhere else reliable recommended ?
Grateful for any help.

If it simply stopped working without any further damage, one possible explanation is that fluid has been leaking internally from the cracked screen. If that is the case, and it has entered components that are susceptible to water damage, then replacing the screen may not fix it.
If you have the tools (or know someone who does) it may be worth dismantling it to check for fluid leakage before spending money on a screen.0 -
Mine broke too, beware there are 2 screens. 1 is the touchscreen and below that is the LCD screen. If there is no bleeding then its the touchscreen that is broken.
Cost me £45 all in at market phone repair shop as it is difficult to DIY and even they had to send it to a specialist guy.0 -
Thanks for the replies. Looks like it will have to be a job for the professionals then.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
