Sygma Silver limit increase or new card?

in Credit cards
Hi I have a sygma silver card which i used for a balance transfer back in August of this year.
I need a little extra cash, as due to personal changes in my life i'm now paying the rent on 2 properties (no I havent become an MP, i've split up with my girlfriend, and she's taking the !!!! )
Anyways, my credit report still isnt in great shape becuase i have moved AGAIN and am currently waiting for Egg to mark my account as closed as i have paid it off completely a few months back, closed it down and they still havent updated my credit report.
So far i have had no problems with Sygma and their interest is actually less than the interest i'm paying on my HSBC card.
Do i, therefore, ring them up and ask about a limit increase or should i apply for a new card. ie. a FlyBe?
For added details, my current Sygma silver has a £900 limit, was taken out in August and used for a balance transfer which i have been paying off the minimum on. I have 3 credit cards if you include the Egg which should be closed. My HSBC is a Gold Visa card with a £2500 limit and the Sygma is a Mastercard. The Egg i think was a VISA (not sure) and had a £750 limit.

I would apply for a new card if your Equifax report is ok.....you likely to get no more than £300 on a limit increase if accepted.0

Hmm well my Equifax history is ok apart form having 6 credit searches in the last 6 months. This is due to moving home and having 2 searches on my file for Virgin Media, 1 for BT, one is from Sygma themselves. Cant remember what the other 2 were.0

6 credit searches in 6 months won't bother applying with any lender who searches equifax then.0 -
Haha yeah. Tried for a Fly Be, got instant turn down, just rung the Silver customer services and got my £300 limit increase

No more credit searches for for a while hopefully so it should all be right as rain by easter time. (in time for another limit increase request)0 -

Yeah wait until those searches find a way off your file b4 applying for another card,6 in 6 months is way to many, according to other threads zero searches in a 6 month period maximize top score when a lender checks previous searches.0 -
Just got my statement from Sygma, I have a Silver card and they increased it automatically! Up £300 to £1300,had the card about 5 months.0
