I got my first ever payment for MSing today! It was from Amber Arch - paid 2 weeks after I did the job, just like they said! I am disproportionately pleased0

Hi there,
Im looking to start mystery shopping an have been reading this thread for hours but there is so much info I just wanted some advice if you would be kind enough.
Who are the most likely company's that assign jobs to newbies? Or is it best to just sign up to every site?
Also did someone want to refer me to retail eyes? I used to work for a company who used them so have a really good knowledge of what to look out for/how they are written.
Also a general question do any of the company's allow you to take your child along with you? would not dream of doing it at first but once I am more confident would consider taking the baby around nap time? defiantly not the 3 year old though lol!
Many thanks for any help or advice you are happy to give0 -

Now I have them I am really worried about them. he he
They're easy peasy. It took me longer to actually read and understand the brief and all the other attachments than doing the assignments! Oh and they don't rate your report on these things. Don't know if that's a good or a bad thing..0 -
aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Work has been terrible. Stayed 2 hours extra everynight this week. GAP system wouldn't let me rebook the stamp job so i emiled them (it showed i could book this day, just wouldn't do it). No reply. Emailed again, no reply. Thought, ah, time difference. Did the job and emiled i had done so please chnge the date.
Reply. DOn't need to do job. Answer, have already done it, reply, well your results were late, it was cancelled. ME, IF YOU RESPONDED TO MY 3 EMAILS YOU WOULD SEE I WAS TRYING TO WORK ROUND YOUR BROKEN SYSTEM AND DID A FAVOUR BY DOING IT BEFORE THE DEADLINE INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR YOUR SORRY BUM TO REPLY.
PIP job tonight. Delightful. Perfect review. Why i decided not to buy anything when the brief states to is just beyond me. I considered it, thought no, it doesn't say to and trotted out. Come to look at report and asks for reciept number. hence the argh
Rule 1. Do not use common sense when working for GAP
Rule 2. Do not work that hard because one of your managers is that useless that you spend time at night debating how he remembers to breath and blink at the same time because your estonished he manages the task on a daily basis.
Rule 3. Take your lunch brake and MS instead of after work when your brain has brokenI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

You could try emailing PIP. I lost the receipt on one of the first jobs I did for them. I emailed Laura and she said that as long as I could provide accurate entry and exit times they would still accept the report as a one off. Worth a try.

Sign up to all of them and if you get accepted just pick which jobs you want to do. Some you can take kids with you but 90% of the time you can't. If the brief says you can't, then don't but for some retail stores you could take baby as long as you don't get distracted. I have taken my 3 year old when brief specifically asks you to bring a child. These can be theme parks, restaurants or sometimes childrenswear depts in some stores. Try React and RE, they are usually nice and easy to start with. Steer away from Service Science as they don't like to pay their shoppers and will try and weazel out of it.0 -
