  • Hi can anyone help me. Last night I got an email from Gap about a job in my area so I applied for my first GAP job, it came back with the status in red rejected/cancelled. Have tried again this morning and it immediately came back with the same status. Am I doing something wrong?

I am getting so fed up with RE and the ridiculous proof reading queries. If they wanted to know the things they query on then they should be on the questionaire in the first place. I think I had 3 on my last job for them, which considering the fee for it (torso shop) was insane. I also had two receipt blurry tickets as well.

I've done roughly a dozen 'filler' jobs for them in the last week and haven't had any queries, however after I started getting a fair few queries I started screenshooting the pages as I was filling them in and recording the time I submitted and there is a pattern. It may just be a coincidence but almost all the jobs I have submitted and then received a query for have been submitted between midnight and 3am.
  • With the RE queries I am getting to the stage where I am not going to bother.

As stated above they query items that are not in the job notes and ask for receipt re-uploads for perfectly good images.

I had one the other day asking how much I thought the company being shopped contributed to the environment!
  • which notes is that please? looked on the info available before it assigned and it did not say anything about a max num. have not yet read full notes though (although did skim and it didnt jump out!) thanks :)

We were talking about the Bare jewellery phone calls, right? Over on the right hand side of the job notes screen in the bit where you actually apply for the job, at the top, it says in red 'there is a limit of 1 shop per individual'.

Hope that helps - please let me know if I've misunderstood!

It doesn't say that on mine...only that I don't qualify for self-assign status but I can still apply and wait for a scheduler to assign it to me. Maybe it's different for those that can self-assign...?

Probably - if you haven't got the red message saying it's self-assign then you won't have the bit underneath it either. I can self-assign so it specifies the limit I can do.

Sorry but I just don't think it's worth it for the fee! Maybe if you could do a few because you save a bit of time on the preparation and the reports would be similar so you could fly through them, but for that fee, it's just not worth the effort - the fee will be even lower when it's converted to sterling.

I guess they may end up letting people take more than one if they can't fill the jobs, though.

Well I've applied for a few so hopefully I'll get at least one! I've just started out, so I'm prepared to take a few jobs with lower fees until I get more established. Especially as I can do it from the comfort of my desk :D

You have to read the job notes and then read the questions carefully. The answers will all be in the job notes.

yes i have read all the briefing over 10 times now and even with the help of other on this forum i still cant get it to accept the answers. it also doesnt tell you which or exactly how many are actual wrong so it is difficult to tell where i have gone wrong

Ha Ha thats exactly my thinking! I want to get to self-assign with them so taking a few lower fee jobs doesn't bother me :)
