  • Does anyone know if you can use 2 for 1 vouchers at TMDC visits? I have a visit scheduled for next week, I've read the brief but there is no mention of not using vouchers for payment. I know RE don't allow it but am just wondering about TMDC.

Also, this restaurant accepts Nectar cards as payment. Do you think I'd be able to use my Nectar points as part payment and get reimbursed for the total amount of the bill as long as it's within the budget allocated?

Would love to hear from anyone who has had experience or any knowledge of the above.

    Many thanks
    MG.
  • The email I had from Abai said the petrol jobs would be released tomorrow.

If you plan to use a voucher in conjunction with a visit, always check with us whether that kind of voucher is acceptable to the restaurant in question.

MysteriousGirl, I did a restaurant last week and I phoned them regarding vouchers. They are ok to use as long as long as you can chose from the whole menu. There was a voucher about which gave you a meal for £10 but listed the items you could choose from so therefore was restrictive and TMDC stated that you could not use that type of voucher. This was also the restaurant that you could pay with Nectar Points IYSWIM.

    Hope that makes sense!
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

As above the same as Spender I was told that I could use 'money off' vouchers but not 'set meal' vouchers.
  • Thank you everyone for your responses. Its a big help. I will therefore use the voucher. :)

I was telling my friend, who is not registered for this site, about mystery shopping which they were thinking about starting. They were asking how the mileage works out, for example if they completed a mystery visit and they were allocated £10 for fuel and they spent the £10 for fuel but it took less than this to travel there how do they explain this because although they have paid for the fuel and it is in their vehicle they have not actually used it for their mystery shop? Also if they went and filled up their vehicle with fuel which cost £60 but they only got paid £10 for a mystery shop how do they explain this?

I hope this makes sense and that someone can shed some light because I have only read some of what has been said on here and I am not a mystery shopper myself!

You get as much as they calculate you used by their rate, so if their rate is 17p/mile and your car uses 20p/mile you will only get 17p per mile travelled. The £10 would be the maximum you would receive. You will get told the rate before you do the job so can just not accept if the amount is too low for you.

Just call them first. I do before I use one. The dude with the posh voice is really helpful. Best to check first then not get paid in my opinion.
