  • Hi. I signed up to GR over a week ago but still haven't seen any shops available, even though there have been several posts on the alerts thread and I check regularly. Did anyone else experience this problem when they first signed up? Cheers

I never get anything with GR and I've been on there for years!!! I have even logged in as soon as I get an email but the shop has always gone - guess there's someone quicker than me in this area!

I seldom see any and I've been with them for ages. Some areas just don't get many jobs.

Be sure to check your form properly. I realised I had my date of birth in wrong and put that I was born in 1885 instead of 1985. LOL. Never saw anything until I noticed it and since have done about 4 visits for them. Woohoo.

I think we should all follow Max's lead and hire stand-ins for our profile pictures.;)

Incidentally, Max, are you expecting us to update our photos periodically? I generally update my photos occasionally for companies who issue ID cards, but never do so otherwise.

If you do that, just make sure you do it in your pocket so they can't tell how you are timing. If they can discredit your timimg method and not pay you, they probably will.

I've been with GR for over 3 years and only done 10 shops for them. In general I would say that if you get an email it's too late. Best way is to check about 3 times a day. say morning, lunch and evening.

There are never many in my area and think I must have a competitor since I never get one after an email. I would suggest signing up with loads of companies and like I have done, list them in a bookmarks folder in order of preference (i.e the ones I have done the most shops for) then get rid of the ones where you haven't had a job for 6 months or so...
