I have found the same Spender. I have only done one job so far and was offered two more from the same company but I missed out on them, sadly wasn't quick enough! was offered one today that recquired you to have a blackberry or similar fancy phone which I don't have.
    Hmmmm...

Ha ha, the things I do for money! 15 minutes was tough! All eyes were on me (I was a bookmaker virgin) so I looked around and eventually settled on a corner where there were no people and pretended to look at a card. I typed up my observations as if it was a text (thanks millerose) and spent 7 minutes in the toilet on the phone to my friend!

Not for the fainthearted but now I've done one it'll be easier to do another one.

Glad my bet lost so I don't need to go back though!!

Any good starting points for the mystery shopping pitches? ukmonkey did you approach a company you had particular trouble with or just scattergun mailing / advertising?

    Network, network, network...!

That, and once you do good jobs for a few, others soon find out anyway.

I sound like I've done thousands directly for clients, I haven't, and I'm sure there's people who have done many more than me in this way.

Trial and error - to a degree, I'm afraid :-)

i remember once, having this friend who went on a blind date and was a bit computer dense.
She phoned me about an hour later to tell me how it had gone, said she thought he was really nice and he said he'd be in touch soon, but he had to go as he was defragging his computer:eek:
She didn't seem to realise it meant he wasn't keen!

That made me laugh!!!! Poor girl. And of all the excuses to use. I guess "he just wasn't that into her". Better than "washing my hair" I suppose.:)
