OOOh CCA. I could so do a massage or facial, do you have to ask stupid questions or pretend to fall asleep or anything else humiliating in line with most of the assignments I've had lately...

No, you just go and then answer a fairly easy questionnaire. It's fine.

I had a problem with my first shop with them and they were good about it and also paid me as it was their error.

    Not that many shops, tho.

Glad you got something from CCA Jen...I remember sending you their details!

Hotels are a lot of work in the long run.......as are the flights...but they are still my favourite jobs as it doesn't seem like 'work' to me...they are a nice break in Europe or wherever.....you make all your notes as you go along....then think about the report when you get home!

Hi im sorry to be such a newbie but im really confused, i started doing mystery shopping about 8 months ago, ive only done 6 so my earning have been very low. I have registered as self employed and i have a exemption certificate thingy for ni, but i havent heard anything since. Do i need to do a self assesment? ive looked through all the forums and the direct.gov website but im still none the wiser! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to do the self-assessment come tax time. It's ok, just do it online and before Sept, so they do the calcs for you.

Centre for Customer Awareness....based in East Kilbride. I'm out & about at the moment & can't remember email addy, but if you just Google them.....its Carole & Betty that allocate jobs.....both lovely & human!

Oooh I remember CCA. They used to have a lady called Elizabeth (she had one hot Scottish accent, swoooon!) that worked there and she was the best. I have done numerous phone calls and museums for them (2 adults, 2 kids and with a big big reimbursement!). I know they do gym visits for a full 12 months. I think they ask for 3 reports a month and for that you get free membership and a free treatment (massage/facial/etc) a month which you report on.

They stopped doing visits in Yorkshire, so I have not heard off them for ages. I think they primarily have visits in Scotland. Highly recommend them.

Carole told me Lilly stopped working for them. She was the best though. Could have a proper little chin wag with her on the phone. A bit like how the TNS Regional Managers were, really down to earth and friendly.

If you get chance, do a museum. The reimbursements were huge. Mmmm.

The first one I did for them a few years ago was similar to a Museum.....in Edinburgh.....interesting to say the least! :D
