Maybe they are not taking my father in law as a creditor when they worked things out for me on the phone? they have said my surplus is £ 335, will have to wait until the new year when i speak to them face to face.

I handed in signed forms today with my cashflow forscast for the next 12 months, if i earn more than i will put away in another bank so when they do my review i have the extra i have earnt if they want it for the creditors.
they have said if i earn more some months i can pay more and if i earn less other months i can pay less so it works out, i also looked into it more with who i am dealing with, as i have read a few threads where people have said payplan pass you off to somewhere else if your self employed (which i am).

I am with payplan bespoke solutions which are still all part of payplan.

I feel brighter today about it all, i am going to stop stressing about an iva and just go with it, i feel its right for me as they said otherwise £335 a month for 15 years on a dmp.

I am on my own sorting all this out as my husband is rubbish at anything like this so all your support would be much apprieciated.

My new bank account card and details came threw today as well so i now know my priorty debts are safe ! yay.

I am sure i will be getting many letters and phone calls from the creditors very soon and i will need your help if i am stressing, but at least i am one step in the right direction by handing back the papers today.
  • Don't stress about letters and phone calls. To be honest it is very liberating to tell them you are going for an IVA and you won't be making any payments. Also, of 14 creditors (between me and the wife) we only have had 3 call us and all were very helpful.

My proposal was accepted this morning, so if they call again I can tell them (politely of course) to speak to my IP and leave me alone.

Well thats encourageing as we have a lot of creditors too.

Good news for you with the iva, i am pleased for you :)

Did the creditors ask you to amend your budget at all or did it just go straight threw?

I hope payplan bespoke solutions are as quick as yours have been, i know the xmas period will slow things but i am keeping my fingers crossed, i have got most of the paper work they are going to ask for on the ready for step 2.
  • I had put down £50 for bus fares etc (as the wife doesn't drive -- and it was suggested by my IP ) and TiX ( who were acting on behalf of a few of my creditors) reduced that by £28. So my payment went up from £416 to £444. That was the only thing they changed that affected me. The other change they made was to reduce the fees my IP can take ( so it increases their dividend ).

The whole process, from start to finish with me took 5 weeks. And a week of that we me getting the paperwork together !!!
