Do any charities collect old keys to raise funds?

We have a load of old keys to dispose of, does anyone know of any charities that collect them to raise funds. The Guide Dogs don't collect them anymore.

    I fear not, because this previous thread only mentions Guide Dogs.

    If anyone knows different, please speak now!

  • If you're unable to find anywhere you could always turn them into santas keys and donate them to a charity shop?
    Just google santas keys and you will come up with some poems to add to luggage labels and the key.
  • if you want to recycle them you could see if any art students want to use them for projects. Or sell them on ebay and see if you get lucky...
    Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
    Save £12k in 2013 no.34 £11,800/£12,000
    'How much can you save' thread = £7,050
    Total=£29,100
    Mfi3 no. 88: Balance Jan '06 = £63,000. :mad:
    Balance 23.11.09 = £nil. :)
  • if they are brass and you have a few kgs of them you could take them to a scrap metal yard and get a few quid for them or if they are Union Precut Keys you may be able to sell them on ebay or a local key shop may buy them cheap if they are in mint condition.
