I only wanna spend a penny !!

Tonight we have had a builder round to quote us for a brickbuilt pitched roof porch, 6 foot by 6 foot approx. and to install a downstairs cloakroom.
I was some what amazed by his estimate, in the region of 8 thousand pounds, is this a good figure ?
Am I being naive ? I really didn't think it'd be quite as much as that.

Thanks
SG

Sounds on the expensive side but it totally depends on the spec, existing building and where in the country you are.
Try cutting back on the marble, granite and gold in the cloakroom :D

Whew thanks for that, I shall have to get more builders in to quote us.

I'm down south which I understand makes the price more. On the other hand there are no walls to knock down, the frontdoor is one of them with a full size upvc panel on the other side of it.
I don't need another radiator fitted, Ooooh in my brain it should be easy to do but I am not a builder !!
