A friend loaned me his Karafun discs but it doesn't work on my laptop. I'm wondering if its because i didn't download it myself. Does anyone know if this is a safe download, or are there better programmes? I liked the songs on the Karafun programme as they are very diverse and would suit a variety of different ages but dont want to compromise my laptop.

You need to install their player software. Probably easiest to download it from their website:

From their domain records they have been around for around 6 years, so they are ~probably~ Ok, but I should add that I have never used their s/w, and know nothing about them other than what Google finds!
