Hi TFD, I'm sorry you have to wait that long, do try ringing the court daily they often have cancellations. Seems like a standard letter, who is the creditor the solicitors are representing?"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"

It is just a scare tactic to get you to pay. Just hang on in there until the 4th or if you get a cancellation.....I know it's easier to say than do.
Best wishes

3 weeks is actually quite quick taking into account the time of the year (the courts will be closed for a week)
There is not a lot the creditors can do in 3 weeks, try not to worry about itHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

3 weeks will come around quickly, especially this time of year. Have you filled in your forms, posted your SOA on here for advice etc.

Try not to let the phone calls get to you....my husband used to get really angry with them, I just thought they were stupid

The best way I found of dealing with the phone call is to answer the phone, confirm you are who they want to speak to but when they try and do the confirmation (Date of Birth; Postcode etc) tell them "I am not comfortable giving this information over the phone"...because of data protection they cannot proceed with the phone call if they cannot confirm you are who you say you are - they usually end the call and tell you they will send a letter
The likelihood is that they won't call again for a few weeks - by which time you'll be BR
Chin up and count off the days on your calender...
Have a Merry and peaceful Christmas

Your date will be here before you know it, although I know how upsetting it is to receive constant phone calls and letters.
I agree with If, ring up on a daily basis to check for cancellations as you never know, and If I was you I would ignore the phone (have you got caller display?), hard as it is and just try and enjoy the festive period.
Your fresh new start is only round the corner, so hang in there and post here for support, we are all here for you. Good Luck x0 -

For about 2 months everytime the phone rang me or Mrs F would say we werent there. Or we would get the dates of birth wrong or we would listen for a while and drag it on and then say sorry gotta go.
Mix it up abit. Dont get upset or angry. Have fun (i found it was the easiest way to get through it).
I'm not being flippant about the whole situation, its just a coping mechanism. These people have generally been told the situation numerous times.I'm no expert, but i'll give you my opinion, my support and my experience. Its all i have.

I turned up at the court expecting a walk in. Had psyched myself up and everything. Come back in a month

Hi Thefishdue,
Im am yet to start the ball rolling in terms of the bankc - however I have been with the CCCS about a year ago - prior to this I had the phone calls, the letters....they are all scare tactics...if it helps I would get yourself a cheap PAYG mobile with a new number -give it to friends and family etc and ignore the other one...the letters are just standard. To be honest 3 weeks over Xmas will be a great time as most places who work in debt management for banks etc may be off or only working set days....dont worry.xx :-)0
