Car broke down: Previous garage job was poor_AA_need advice

hi
3 months ago my car broke down, i called out AA and they said I needed a new alternator. They took me to their recommended garage (nationwide) and they fitted a new alternator, I paid £25 in total as i had the parts and labour additional policy on my breakdown cover.
Now my car broke down at the traffic lights the other day, i called out AA, someone came, but it wasnt AA, it was another company vehicle, subcontractor via AA i guess. He said the whoever did the alternator job did a very poor job, as he spottted a wire hanging off the alternator, he picked off a worn out picece and said the connector neeeds replacing, and the wire needs to be reconnected. My car would not start at all, no hazards lights either. He put the car on his truck and took me home.
Now my car is parked in my driveway (unable to start up).
Nationwide did the job 3 months ago, i think the paperwork receipt says 12 months guarantee, not 100% sure if it applies to my situation.
Who do i need call now? AA again? or nationwide?
The car will need picking up and taking to the garage.
Would this job cost me? Would AA pay or would nationwide pay for it?
or would i have to pay £25 excess?
thanks for any advice.

I would say first port of call is the garage that did the repair, they may pick the car up, or they may send someone to do it - but it needs to be done free of charge, if they won't agree to that, then you need to contact the AA and explain it to them what has happenedDon't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0

Have you tried calling Nationwide and asking what they plan to do to rectify the situation? that would be my first port of call.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

thanks
no, not made any calls yet, will do tomorrow, was away for the weekend0 -
If ever there was proof of Nationwide's incompetence. Unable to fit an alternator properly. Dear God.0

thanks everyone
garage said it was a little job and the connector needed replacing and re-connecting to alternator, they disagreed with the AA comments about the garage doing a poor job with fitting alternator, he said it wasnt the alternator you see.
but the aa man said it really should have been sorted out along with alternator as wire is connected to alternator (i think he said)
anyway, garage sorted it, and they didn't even charge any money. very very surprised, as everytime i visit a garage i always get ripped off and usually argue with them or they pile on the costs.
(not looking forward to service and mot coming up in janurary, might ask some advice here, as every year i pay several hundred for the service and mot with parts etc. Others are saying it might be better to sell the car before these costs need paying)
thanks0 -
dont use nationwide for mot etc..Sealed pot challenger # 10

It doesn't. It can be done on the spot.0 -

You seem to be just cynically using these forums to find threads you can spam the AA! Maybe you have some undeclared connection with them???0
