Why has it crossed your mind that I may be having a go at the disabled?
I have merely posed a question to which I have asked users for an answer and that question is quite clear, why? What is the reason?
Please keep off this thread unless you have a contribution of merit to give.0 -

Disabled people are allowed allowances to ease their passage through life to make things easier for them and there carers, same as assisted parking, discounts on cars etc etc0

Thank you for a constructive reply.
The reason(s) I ask is because this has cropped up within the transport sector for which I work as tolls are a huge topic in south Wales. We are looking at every single aspect of the French owned bridges to compile a report.
Now, I understand the points you raise above, assisted parking with special bays for example is common sense.
However, specifically, how does not paying a bridge toll ease a disabled persons life other than financially? One doesn't reach Cardiff, for instance, in any shorter a time or in more comfort.
Do disabled people have access to cheaper fuel? If not, why not?0 -

and the answer is fairly obviousReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
If you're 'compiling a report' (on behalf of whom and to present to whom I wonder) might I suggest actually going and doing some actual research rather than simply asking on an internet message board.Thank you for a constructive reply.

You may find that your homework/report or whatever your little project is carries far more weight if you've put some effort into it as opposed to 'some people on an internet forum I visit think this'.

I don't know the answer and it doesn't say here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/MotoringAndTransport/Bluebadgescheme/DG_181209
I wonder if it could be something like one place (eg Clifton Suspension Bridge) was lobbied to do so because of, say, access to hospital treatment and then others followed because if it's free on one then why not on others.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Thank you for an excellent reply.
Yes I have seen the above link and your explanation is very plausable.
The blue badge scheme is notoriously abused and we have strong evidence that certain courier/delivery firms are widespread in this abuse.
It is of great concern for smaller outfits at substantial costs.
One can obviously see the benefit of a blue badge holder having a reserved parking bay on a highway located outside a doctors, for example.
However, there is no benefit to a blue badge holder returning to Wales after a weekend in Cornwall other than saving a financial cost.
Something that can be abused by unethical traders.
And this is the crux of my thread which, unfortunately and rather bizarrely, was hijacked by some previous posters who look as though they just like a quarrel.
Again, many thanks for your input.0
