Unfair feedback

I know this sounds petty but someone has left me neutral feedback "very fast delivery but a little disapointed with item but thank you", after 125 items of buying and selling mostly selling no-one has never left me anything but positive feedback. I described the item perfectly as i do all my items. am very annoyed about this as they could have left the comment under a positive. Any one had similar experiances and do i message them to apologise or just leave it?
cheers

I Had A Simular Experience,i Was Very Miffed But Having A Neutral Feedback Does Not Effect Your Feedback Rating, and With Having So Much Poss Feedback One Person Will Make Little Difference, let It Be,i Wanted To Tell The Other Person What I Thought Of Him,but It Has Passed Now.

why not email the buyer and ask them in what way they were disappointed?

Also, hateful as it is, you could always leave feedback saying something along the lines of 'doesn't give the seller the opportunity to resolve issues before leaving feedback'.....

This might encourage them to accept a 'mutually withdraw feedback' option...

It stinks, but I'm afraid you can't really do anything about it. Don't let yourself get wound up by it, if you sell on ebay for any amount of time someone will give you a neg sooner or later - whether you deserve one or not.

I have three negs. They are all revenge feedbacks from non-paying bidders who I negged. Leave a follow-up response to their feedback to explain your side of things, and then just forget about it. No-one is going to judge you for having one neutral from a crazy buyer.

Just wonder what was you selling?. I would also use the return back feature think under paypal (100 onwards) then this would give the buyer chance to return the item.

You could ask the buyer why have you left me a bad feedback and reply would you like a refund if you unhappy with the product. If you want the product back ask the buyer to return back to you. ;)

just leave it! put a follow up saying..... very sorry to hear you are unhappy. perhaps contact me for refund...... but I wouldn't give one I would just say that to make it look like you are a 'good ebayer':A

it is obviously someone who doesn't really understand the system!

cheers people, the person has only bought 7 items in the past so they probably dont understand how important feedback is. Think i will just leave it - dont want to antagonise him further. Obvioulsy he isn;t that in tune as the item was described perfectly, and there are plenty more of them exactly the same still on ebay so he could have seen others pictures and descriptions. Guess its just one of those things. Thing is I never leave neutral or neg feedback without contacting the seller first if im not happy or just accept that things arent always going to be perfect.

They possibly didn't read your description properly. I have had a few experiences of buyers complaining that there was a mark/scratch/whatever on an item despite the face that my description said, "in very good condition although there is a mark/scratch/whatever blah blah blah"!
  • I got a neutral feedback the other day because "The seller charged £1.40 for postage but the envelope only had 55p worth of stamps on it".

I could accept that for a newbie but the buyer had 1000+ feedbacks. The postage was clearly stated on the auction. I do not think an extra 85p is too much to add for the packaging and the associated cost of leaving work to post it within 24 hours.

To make it worse they got the auction for 10p and the buyer sells identical items with a £1 postage price.
