b&q tried to sell me branches of customers tree

I saw a customer having the lower branches of her christmas tree she was buying, removed and after the assistant finished and she walked away I asked if I could have one of the branches from her tree for my wreath, he said I could but would have to buy it from b&q.
So if you buy from them and have the same assistance ask for a discount for the remaining branches that they will sell. Each one is worth 25p.

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.:hello:0 -

well the jobs worths at b and q would probably say that if they give stuff away, where does it stop. maybe a few perennial plants that have died back which are still alive although unsaleable, or a terracotta pot with a crack in it, what's to stop customers/staff deliberately damaging products then the items leaving the store for free. they would rather skip stuff than give it away i expect. good to see that the spirit of christmas is alive and well at b and q anyhowsquaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0
