  • The organza bags sound like a great idea! I have all my jewellery in tubs in my drawers, but my necklaces are always getting tangled up. I'm going on eBay to get some bags now!

  • I've got some plastic hooks (cheap stick on ones from Wilkinsons / £ shop, hardware store) on the inside of my wardrobe doors - brilliant for keeping necklaces on - out of sight and easy to grab as I get dressed :)

I do this too. Stores them out of the way and I can see them all. They don't get tangled or dusty. Brilliant!

If you find some that are just right then post the supplier! Many thanks, Hilary Nothing like getting someone else to do the work!!!
  • @ moneylover - I have a selection of these Ikea boxes...

I think maybe the paper box could work. Also if you search Ikea for `box` it comes up with a good variety so may be something better there.

@ pirate fairy - I am seriously envying the size of your stash. Makes my couple of bangles a three or 4 necklaces look pitiful in comparison.

Also loving the back of the wardrobe door idea!

  • I have exactly the same problem.

I want Santa to bring me one of these....

I have too many necklaces and earrings for boxes (have tried but they get all tangled!)

  • I use one of these over the bedroom door..

Have a look at this on Ebay Item number: 220698478834
    Link

Not as big as the shoe tidy thing but not bad at £4.99

I've just ordered one to try and organise my tangle of trinkets.

Ooh jilly, me too! I bought one of these yesterday. They are available in Primark, if anyone has one nearby. They are pink and have 48 pockets (I think) of various sizes, the pockets are all on one side and it is specifically for jewellery too. I thought I'd hang it in the wardrobe. Cost £3

Wasn't sure if it was too naff to mention on this thread after all the pretty/creative suggestions!
  • I am trying to save up a few of those ferrero rocher - flat square boxes (might get a few this xmas!). They stack up well - like the stacker jewellery boxes from House of Fraser/JLewis, and i will layer either some felt fabric or velvet fabric to create a grip for the jewellery. i will need at least 4-5 trays for earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc . they are see through so i'll know whats in where - though not sure how to get rid of the label - maybe spirit or i'll paint over it with some gold paint - i'm still at design stage not yet completed or filled it yet!
