My MFW Diary

Hi flatmate and welcome to the MF world!

loads of great tips and diaries on here , sounds like you have made a great start already!0 -
Right another update. Worked some more overtime last night so that's an extra £32.96
, should be able to do the same again tonight or maybe stay even longer as not in work tomorrow. Had £200 in the savings account so £100 has gone against the mortgage today and the other £100 towards a new camera. In the long run I should be able to earn more money through my photography so it's hopefully a good investment. As today is payday I have pushed £650 into the savings account and will try my hardest not to touch it until next payday, then I'll have £550 to put against the mortgage and another £100 towards the camera, it's pretty ambitious but hopefully I can do it.
Have also been looking through the Up Your Income board on here and have come to the conclusion the only real way to make additional cash is 1 overtime, 2 a second job or 3 start a small business. I already do 1 so 2 is out of the question so just leaves 3. So might start blogging again and try to monetise the photography more. Oh and Ebay selling lark for all the rubbish I found around the flat will start in January. Starting to run out of ideas lol.Mortgage Balance @ 30/06/10 = £104,975.07
Overpaid since 13/12/10 = £218.96
Overtime since 13/12/10 = £257.11 pre tax
Ebay, pennies and others since 13/12/10 = £500 -

Hiya SeriouslySeekingtoSave,
We all have our own 'diary' which is actually a thread with whatever title we put into it. This one for instance, is a new thread (click link at the top of the front MFW page) which flatmate has entitled 'My MFW Diary'. My thread or diary is 'Five Years for Spigs to be Mortgage Free'.
So to start yours click the New Thread button, put your diary title in the narrow text box (Title) and then put your first post into it in the main text box. Don't forget to select the 'Instant email notification' from the Notification drop down list before you submit your post (scroll down below the Submit Reply and Preview Reply buttons and you'll see it), and then you'll get an email whenever anyone posts a reply in your 'diary' or thread.
Hope that helps and good luck with your MFW journey,
SpigsMortgage Free October 2013 :T0 -
Ok my diary has been rather quiet over the holiday period so it's time to get back into it. Had a picture published in the Guardian on the 29th December which I'm very proud of and have made it one of my missions to start taking my photography seriously in 2011. Also hit another £25 off the mortgage today so happy days
. Can't pump lots at it as the Christmas fun has hit my bank account a bit harder than I thought and also need to start saving for a more professional dSLR. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mortgage Balance @ 30/06/10 = £104,975.07
