Hi all,
Can anyone advise of any ideas on how to make a party fun whilst trying to raise money for a building upgrade for our community centre (registered charity).
I am organising a charity dinner and dance New Years Eve party and would be interested in hearing from you on how we can raise money for our cause. We are already intending to hold a raffle (any ideas for raffle prize donations would also be appreciated)
Any tips on how to make the party fun aswell as trying to raise money?
We are only making a very small amount on ticket sales once costs have been factored so will need additional monies donated on the night.
Thanks in advance

Rolling £1 coins to a bottle of whisky/gin/vodka etc is always popular, nearest one wins the bottle and people get very competitive about it.0

what about playing heads and tails?
Entry is say £1 per person and the entrants put their hands on their heads or their bums.
The caller flips a coin and if it lands on a head then all those with their hands on their bums sit down and vice versa.
This continues until there is a winner and the prize could be 1/2 or 1/4 of the entry fee.
The other one I've seen done is reverse bingo.
Entrants buy a bingo ticket, again say for a £1, and someone calls out a number from 1 to 90. If the number is on your ticket you sit down and this continues until you get a winner.
Again the prize could be 1/2 or 1/4 of the takings.
(you can buy books of bingo tickets from newsagents)

We did a "pass the parcel " type game where people had to put something silly on when the music stopped. It was hilarious we had things like corsets, silly hats wigs wellies etc that people had to put on over thier finery. I don't see how you could make money out of it unless you charged to take part and you could have a prize at the end for the funniest0
