do you use memeo backup, google desktop, google toolbar, aol, cyberlink,



what are you settings in ie, tools, internet options, connections, lan settings?

Done the advanced text services, settings were not ticked so ticked automatically select settings.
Just installed memeo cos I bought an external hard drive don't use aol and don't know what cyberlink is.Not bothered about the google desktop

Okay,have uninstalled Google desktop but there's no AOL software showing on add\remove programmes,will have to have a look further for that stuff and remove it all.

I don't have a clue what the things mean on most of your list but don't use powercinema,ulead or media player everyday but do use it on occasion.
Have just backed up photos and vids on external drive, it's a seagate one,memeo stuff popped up when I plugged it in.

Connecting with a motorola modem and also have a dynamode router.

If I remember rightly, to disable the AOL carp, you need to do it through control panel/administrative tools/services, find it in the list and set accordingly
