it would be worth doing a search of this board for 'auction' and checking out previous ideas.

  • Well done for raising money for help the heroes (my son is in the paras, so a charity close to my heart)

You could do a hamper theme on the raffle.....i.e. Pamper Hamper, Night In Hamper (dvd and sweets ..maybe a local pizza voucher), Gardening theme hamper (ask at local garden centres for donations, seeds, pots, gardening voucher, book, lollipop plant labels, herbs etc etc), Sweetie Hamper, Day out Hamper (picnic rug, disposable bbq, flask, sun cream, etc), Drinks hamper (different wines/spirits)

How about an auction of promises?.....where you have people donating their time rather than actual items, these go down really well....especially after a few drinks the bidding can get a little silly. You need to have an auctioneer and someone who is good with the banter.
Examples ......a hair cut, dinner for two, computer clean up, indian head massage, fitness class, a morning gardening, an accountant to go through your finances, cutting the grass, cleaning the windows of your home, a days decorating, bake a birthday cake, a morning teaching knitting, a photo session, a days fishing, cook a meal for four delivered to your door, A morning crafting cards, a car wash, a french manicure etc
It can be either professional skills or someone who has a hobby.

    hope this helps
