Does Business Partner's Credit Rating Affect Me?

Hi there,
I have written a book with a partner and they want us to open a joint business bank account (through which all proceeds and expenses will be channelled).

Despite a previously excellent credit history my book partner was hit recently by the financial challenges a couple of years ago and now has a blemished / poor credit rating.

The question is, if I set up a joint business bank account with them, does it affect my credit rating and will I be tarnished / penalised because of their recent misfortune.

I don't want to open a bank account with them if that is the case and if that is the case, is there another solution / alternative.

Your advice / experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
