Copernic Desktop Search

Long shot but I don't suppose anyone has version 1.5 of Copernic Desktop Search, the new one is refusing to index files on my laptop and I want to put back the old one which seemed quite happy

Can't help you with CDS, but you might like to try Windows Desktop Search instead --> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/desktopsearch/default.mspx. Highly recommended, I couldn't cope without it!

Thanks Chippy I'll give it a go, CDS has been driving me nuts all evening trying to get it work

I had a similar problem with the new version (2) on my M/C at work - wouldn't index. So I opened Copernic Desktop Search, then Tools->Option-> Indexing and Performance and unchecked the two 'suspend' options (other programs and low system resources) then OK. This caused Copernic 2 to index for the first time and it works OK after I did this. I 'think' its a conflict between my screen saver (BOINC) processing and Copernic indexing, Copernic 2 works fine on my laptop which does not have screen saver running. HTH

This is on my work laptop too, it will index emails fine but files just don't get indexed, anyway I've found 1.63 on an FTP site and that is now happily chugging away reindexing everything, so I'm going to leave well alone, thanks for both your help.
