Hi =
Since I got my new laptop my printer hasnt needed ink until now - ran out today!! Only showed me that no ink left but the usual maintenance didnt show to install so I manually pulled across and replaced cartridge - and have turned the whole thing off and on etc but it wont recognise that there is now ink there .....
Logged onto old computer and attached printer but nothing happening there either ..... any ideas really appreciated before said printer makes its way out my back door by way of a drop kick!!!

I don't own a C66, but have owned Epsons in the past, and the user manuals always said "do not manually pull the cartridge across" or words to that effect, as at worst it strips the internal gears, or at best leaves it in a situation where it can't figure out where the head assembly is in its travel.

Generally with recent Epsons there is a diagram inside the top cover showing the correct procedure for replacing the carts (and in the last one I had, a button to press to centre the head for access to it), though whether that will work now is another matter (queue the sound of a drop-kicked printer landing in a garden...)

HAPPY UPDATE - decided if i had wrecked gears nothing to loose by giving the thing a good wiggle about ...... just to see what would happen........ did this and then cartridge started going back and forward and whirring and getting on for ages - until produced one lovely green light!!!
