Hi
Sorry to hear your doggy isnt feeling too good, mine was the same the other week came down in the morning to sick and he was definately out of sorts and feeling sorry for himself and wouldnt eat which is very unlike him. I was worried and read up on the net and said to starve him for 24 hours making sure plenty of water, which i did and he was definately more perky the next day. Good luck at the vets definately better safe than sorry, Im sure he will be feeling better in no time

hi everyone, the vet said he had a temperature which is probably why he was looking so miserable. He gave him an antibiotic injection and gave me a syringe to force him to drink with so he doesn't get dehydrated.
fortunately he was more himself this morning and ate a few dog biscuits and he went back to the vets and his temperature is back to normal but his tummy was still a bit gurgly. the vet gave me antibiotic tablets and he is going back on thursday. until then he suggested i feed him boiled meat and pasta/rice. he loves pasta so this should be ok
he is deffo more himself so maybe he just had an upset tummy? The more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
When our old dog Suki had an upset tummy I used to cook her some rice or pasta and then mix it with either some tuna or some scrambled egg, and keep her on it for 1-2 days, she couldn't resist it and she soon perked back up again."Your life is what your thoughts make it"

aww

he is deff more himself..he was begging for a crisp when i was eating some earlier!
i am going to give him pasta for his tea and put something with it so it isn't too bland for him.The more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
Whenever mine weren't well, I cooked them chicken and rice. Couple of chicken thighs, boiled then simmered till the meat falls off the bone, then cook some rice in the chicken stock. Let it cool, chop the chicken up (skin as well) and they absolutely love it.
Seems to be easily digestible for a dodgy tummy.0 -
He had pasta and meat for his tea...my ABD did too so she didn't feel left out

He had his tablet earlier, I had nothing to give him it with but he just took it whole...he must be getting better, he is back to his old self...eating whatever is put in front of him!!
