Going to my son's and grandsons Christmas Day, no need to plan a menu for that.
Then Boxing Day they all come to me...son, daughter in law, grandsons, daughter and her partner and our precious new grandbaby to be in it's mummy's tum.
Menu is crispy duck pancake, turkey/trimmings and a choice of Christmas Pud/Brandy butter or gateau/cream. Followed by cheese/biscuits.
Maybe not the most original menu but who cares what you're eating when you're fortunate enough to be surrounded by your beloved family?0 -
Seriously, have any of you got a life of any sort?
Geez do some people think Christmas dinners just arrive on the plate bought, prepared, cooked and ready for everyone’s consumption without any forward planning. This being a money saving forum one of the aims of reading and posting is to try and help each other in saving money...Working out meal plans allows for less waste, both in terms of food waste and money wasted on unnecessary food. Thanks everyone for posting. I will be having turkey dinner on Xmas day but haven't thought beyond that.
I will be hosting on Boxing day and quite like the idea of fish for the meal, perhaps salmon. But nothing complicated! If anyone has any suggestions of what they've done beofre I'd be extremely grateful! Thanks.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams
