bosch cylinder vacuum blowing out instead of sucking in

i've changed the bag and instead of sucking in through the hose it's blowing out through the filter which is situated on top of the cyliner. It's always blown out hot air from the top which i presume is to keep the motor cool but now it's blowing really hard and, as i say, no suction from elsewhere. I can't see any blockage anywhere. it's the bosch ergomaxx 2000 cyliner (green in colour0

could be a seal gone so rather than sucking through the bag and pipe it is just sucking air in round the seal. This happens with my henry if I don't clip the lid on properly.0

youll be amazed at the places a vacuum can get blocked up.
ie
take off the hose assembly and make sure its completely clear.Get some gorm.0 -
I assume it's like my old one ,you fit the bag and as you close the cover it pushes the hole in the bag
take the bag back out and make sure there is a hole where the pie /cover fits or remove the bag completely and try it without the pipe attatched
then try it with the pipe
If the suction is ok then it's the bag0
