Net curtains with UPVC windows.

When we had the double glazing fitted years ago, we used some useless plastic extender rods and more than useless plastic brackets (which fall off constantly) to hang our net curtains.
Has anyone any ideas on a good solution. We cannot hang the nets from above, but the walls either side are good and solid. Would I be better off using the old wires, and then permanently glueing new brackets on to the window trim?
Thanks.

I use tension rods on mine, and never had a problem. As long as you get the tension right (really tight) they stay put.0

Are you handy with a drill? Just drill some small wholes into the UPVC top part.
I can't exactly explain but it is easier than you think.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

I should have mentioned, the window is around 3.5 metres long, so I will not be able to use tension rods.0

The difficulties you have encountered are God's way of telling you not to have nets because they are terminally naff.0

I know, but try telling my missus that nets should not be seen in a modern house.:o
