laptop: sellng

is there any websites who will buy old laptops? 5 year old, low range dell whch has now popped when it was plugged in and now wont do anything. suspect not worth repairing, is it possible to sell? where?

    possibly for bits on ebay, sell screen/charger etc as bits or the whole lot

    Don't forget to wipe the hard disk or alternately advertise it as spares/repairs and free identity theft.

    Free listing days only save pennies so long as the start price isn't high and a high start usually doesn't improve the final price anyway.

    eBay make most of their filthy lucre from final valuation fees and of course with their other hand PayPal fees.

    People seem to routinely overpay for secondhand laptops and tech on ebay, so it'll almost certainly be a better bet for you than a retailer.
