HP Photosmark C7280 Printer

Options
I purchased this all in one printer a couple of years ago to replace my old HP printer and seperate scanner. It works fine, the only problem is the cost of replacement cartridges. It takes the HP 363 type cartridge and I'm struggling to find non-HP ones. I did manage to get some from Tesco but I've returned to the shop twice now as it refuses to work with some of them.

As a result I tend to use my old trusty printer and only use this machine for scanning / faxing etc. However, its now stopped working altogether as the cartridges have 'expired'. Looking at a £50 bill just so I can scan something, which is pretty steep.

Does anyone know where I can get cheaper cartridges, or can they recommended a different all in one printer which doesnt suffer from the same high running costs and 'expiring' cartridges?

    Have you considered a CIS?

I know my father has one, not for this particular model, but still another HP and he sees no print quality difference. Saves him a fortune apparently!

That looks interesting, not seen anything like that before. Doesnt list my printer as a compatable one but I will contact them to find out. Thanks
  • Well we have an HP C3180 printer and I got my last cartridges from ink.co.uk at £13.17 for a black one. and they are fine - if not better, than the original 343's.

Have used UKDVDR for Epson compatibles, they have cartridges for your printer from 1:79

  • The HP343 is £19.25 on that site......

Not for the compatible cartridges, which would seem to be open for consideration if a CIS is, and it was HP 363 which were asked about
  • I simply offered information about the printer I have (which is also an HP Photosmart, similar to the OP's) and the type of cartridge it uses (HP343) which was more expensive on that website. The 1:79 ?? (assume you mean £1.79) does not apply in this case.

I usually use 7day shop for 363 cartridges for my C6280.

Buy a Brother All - in - One, I get compatible cartridges for mine for under 80 pence each, delivered, they work fine.

I dumped my HP All in One, I just could not afford to run it.
