Left Hand Drive Car Insurance

I have imported a car from Belgium & intend to drive it round europe for 6 months. I am finding it difficult to find anyone who will insure it. Some companies will insure it but limit overseas travel, others will not quote because the model is not on the computer. Some will quote when I say the nearest UK model is... I have been on the LHD car sales sites & filled in the form but got nothing. Anybody know companies that I can try, I am fed up phoning around & google comes up with companies who do not want to know.

I have a simlar problem with a imported car from USA. Tesco will insure the car for UK driving but they limit how much u can drive in Europe and u have to let them know in advance and pay extra per trip.
