Holiday Insurance

I had booked a holiday for my family in 2 cabins (there were 10 of us) for half term. Unfortunately my mother was taken ill the week before and was actually taken into hospital on the day we were due to go. Anyway I put a claim in to get the cost of the holiday back with AXA, they have agreed to pay the claim but only for my husband and myself. I have studied the policy but cant find anything that says that they only pay a %.

I have told them that I had paid for whole holiday and that I couldnt find anything in policy and have heard nothing.

Anybody had a similar type of claim and how did they get on? Can I argue the case of paying for the whole holiday? Are they trying a fast one?

Thanks I would love to get this settled.

What was the family relationship between the 'other' 8 to your mother?

We need more info on who your policy covered and how the other 10 people were related to you.

They may be saying that the policy only covered yourself and your wife.

Are the other 8 people listed in the persons insured?
