E.ON clause
Switching to E.ON Saveonline 4 would seem to save me £161/yr but a clause has left me a little confused."After 15th January 2012 customers will be moved on to one of E.ON's EnergyOnline plans."
I can assume this is the same thing but could it also mean another online plan that may not meet the anticipated savings?

Yes it would mean what you said. When the contract finishes you need to see what you want to move to. Put the date in your diary and do your research then.0

I too have just moved to the same plan and whilst I'm stuck with them until 2012 now (or pay a £30 fee to get out) the plan seemed the best long-term bet for me and bearing in mind all of the other energy companies putting their prices up and as far as I know E.On still have not announced a price rise I think it was a good choice.0

I've not moved from Atlantic yet - E.ON just seems the best move to make but I'll wait until after 15th Jan to see if its still the best move.0

Once your plan comes to an end you will be switched to a Standard Tariff, at that point go online and select another better priced plan.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Hi tgon
The clause you mention refers to what happens when a product reaches the end of its allotted term.
E.ON Saveonline 4 ends on 15 January 2012.
When fixed term contracts like this approach their expiry date, we send out letters advising customers of the imminent end of their deal.
If we don't hear from a customer otherwise, their account will automatically be switched to our standard online product (currently called EnergyOnline) to cover energy usage after 15 January 2012.
Although this standard product will not be as cost effective as Saveonline 4, it does not have any tie-ins leaving you free to change tariff/supplier at a later date if you wish.
Hope this explains the clause you asked about tgon.
