I have a severe case of CBA this morning. It's all misty and gloomy and cold again. I really do have trouble doing housework when there's no sunshine. I have got up, dressed, fed the chickens and the kittens, had cheese on toast for breakfast and now just want to creep back into bed and sleep.... Bah!

    Good morning!
Thank you FLC for the lists and the new thread.
I'm pressing on today. Got to go through to Perth for light treatment later, and thought I'd treat myself to a yoga class seeing I'm across there.
Hope all are safe, well and comfortable.

    Hi :j
Toots - please can I be put in LurkerLand?

We've had a major set back.

As some of you know we're in a flat in Kent during most of the week and go back to our main home (been there 27 yrs) in Gloucestershire for the rest of the week - we've struggled to keep both places going (note the debt free siggy), but wanted to retire back at the family home soon. Got there on Thursday and it had been flooded from top to bottom - only the conservatory has survived flood damage. Not likely to be habitable until the summer at the soonest.

No one was hurt and there are many much worse off than we are, but I can't pretend I'm not devastated. Managed to rescue our wedding photos, wedding dress and Kenwood mixer (bizarre what you consider important when you are in shock), but pretty much everything else is gone.

We've got the flat - but that's a four hour drive away from the house - so we're OK and have a roof over our head and a warm bed. DD is expecting in the New Year - although she is so stressed out at seeing her childhood home in such a state, I'm worried she'll start early - so that's all that really matters and gives me something to focus on.

I'll lurk for a while, if that's OK. Flylady stories, laughs and observations will keep me going.

Can I wish you all the Merriest of Christmases - please raise a glass for me - I can't drink in case DD goes into labour and I need to drive back as I'm her birth partner as DSon-i-L is VERY squeamish and the nurses and I spent more time looking after him when our grandson was born.

Wasn't it ironic that I was celebrating getting a water leak fixed at the flat on Thursday???

    Lots of love
    Jx
I could give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!
