Hi all. First post. Gr8 site, by the way. Will be worth hundreds, if not thousands, every year. Gonna rave about it 2 every1 I know.
Found the site whilst researching changing credit cards for rewards/cashback (specifically skycard on recommendation from my dad). What I have come to wonder after reading most of the relevant articles is whether or not it is possible to pay monthly bills - mortgage, loans, mobile phones, utilities etc - via credit cards in order to rack up the rewards. Can I just inform the organisations concerned that I would now like them to start taking the payments str8 from a CC at the same time each month as before?

In some cases yes.
A lot of councils will let you pay by CC for council tax.
However, a lot of these people give discounts for paying by direct debit. Orange - for example - charge an admin fee if you don't pay by direct debit that far outweighs any benefit you'd get from a CC if you paid on it.
You have to evaluate each one to see whether you'd be better off or worse off. In the grand scheme of things - it's probably easier/cheaper and less hassle if you pay by direct debit because then at least the payment can't be late and you can't be fined.
