    And?

Not everybody cares about having thousands saved up.

I spend my money without thought. That's my problem. If my mates banged on about money saving day in day out i'd tell them to get a life. If she chooses that lifestyle who are you to argue it's wrong.

I don't mean to sound mean, but not everybody is the same.

  • Let her make her own choices, good or bad. That's called learning to be responsible. And trying to change her is not doing you any good if it's making you uptight
    Keep calm and carry on

To be honest, you sound a bit miserly. It's none of your business how she spends her money or what on.

Just ignore her and don't let it get to you. It's up to her how she spends her money and you can't dictate what she orders in restaurants etc.
Here I go again on my own....

I have a pretty small appetite and quite often only end up finishing half of what I am served :o Knowing that about myself doesnt stop me ordering what I like though and I agree with her thats its nice to have variety. Maybe she feels its better off left than stuffing herself to bloating just so that she has had value for money ;)

Unless she is expecting you to pay half of her more expensive choices then I would say its none of your business.
  • when I first read this I thought you were going to say she always makes your split the bill and your annoyed because she orders more, more expensive food and then doesn't eat it, but that doesn't seem to be it at all.
I take it you each pay for your own? That being the case as frustrating as it may be to see her being wasteful, its not your money shes wasting so you really need to take a step back and stop getting het up about it. You're gonna get a name for yourself ;)

Basically the OP is a frugal money saver

She buys the cheapest meal wherever she goes. Her mate however decides she like's a variety of food so spends a couple of quid more. The OP polishes her plate off but her mate always leaves food on the plate.

The OP then bangs on about the importance of money saving and she thinks her friend should be like her

That's the jist of it. Was quite taken back when i read it so i may have missed bits out (just wanted to post lol)
