Hi,
I have a flight booked to Dom republic from Manchester, I will be coming into Manchester piccadilly from London and was wondering how much a taxi from the train station would be or if there was a closer station to get off at?
Many thanks

you can get a train direct from picadilly to the aiport, its a pretty short journey and they're really frequent

Thanks Paulsad
Is the train I need to take onwards on the same platform (or nothing that requires climbing stairs), I have 2 kids in tow one being a 2 year old so faffing around changing platforms with, prams, luggage and all the rest of it is what I am worried about0 -
Some of the trains to the Airport depart from Platform 13 which would mean using lifts/escalators.
So wait for a train from any of platforms 1 to 12 which will be on the flat.0 -
The Transpennine trains from Leeds go on to MIA from the main platforms. If you check Leeds to MIA, the ones showing no changes should leave Picadilly for the airport around an hour after leaving Leeds (the ones where you change at Picadilly are the platform 13 ones - bit of a hike without kids!).0

Just a quick note to add that taking a taxi from Piccadilly would be as hard as getting to platform 13 - the taxi rank is down either in the lift or two flights of escalators/stairs

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
