Big curtain across the whole wall?
Put up cabinets and wardrobes, sealing top and bottom with plinth and panel.
Thermal lining is like linoleum wallpaper, easy to do.
40mm or more of internal thermal plaster. 10mm is not really worth doing, might as well put up thermal lining.
Big money, £10,000 for external thermal plaster for a whole semi.0 -
any figures percentages to go with suggestions 'Pincher'. wall is hall/stairs so cabinets not practical external plaster too dear although likely to be just flank wall not whole house, 40mm internal plaster not prratical just leaves lino thing how good any idea how much ?0

The government doesn't pay for solid wall insulation precisely because it's real labour, real money.
Thermal paint is even cheaper, but we are probably looking at 1% reduction in heat loss. Just search for these things, and be sceptical of the heat loss claims.
The problem with any internal solution is you lose space, and the windows look ridiculously sunken. For, example, screw some studs onto the wall, put Kingspan in between, and screw plaster boards on top. Very good insulation, looks terrible.0
