Quick question on working kitten and what to use ongoing

Hi - My kitten is 3 months old now and has been to the vets twice for vaccinations. He has had his FeLV and RCP vac's, plus over the last 6 weeks he has had 2x 1/2 tablets of Milbemax for worming.

I have asked my vet what to use now ongoing to worming, and they have advised I use Advocate pipets, my cat is not going to be going outside of another month or two as he is quite small, so should I use this Advocate or get some more Milbemax until he is going out. I think the Advocate treats / guards against fleas and he won't be coming into contact with anything yet!

Thanks...

LOL, sorry, the typo in your heading - I had to see what a "working kitten" did :)

We used Advocate for ours and they had a strange reaction to it - possibly managed to lick it somehow. We have gone back to Milbemax which is the easiest wormer ever - our 4 cats just eat the tablet - and we use frontline combo which kills ticks and fleas as they all go out and hunt so are more likely to come into contact with ticks in the grass.

Ah ok, so doesn't advocate kill ticks then? I'm 100% sure once he goes out he'll be hunting (he practices on me at the mo!). So basically I need to know what is the best option for us...

same as Hethmar - got lured onto the thread in the hopes of finding a job for my sons cat who has decided to take up residence with ME! lol.
I think I may enrol him on a secretarial course, as he apparently likes using my printer for scanning and copying - I wondered why there were all these blank pages scattered under my printer until he decided to show off his skills, and sat on the printer pressing the buttons until it started up and disgorged 5 copies of - nothing!
as for worming kittens I just take what the vet gives me (or rather the cat takes it)!
