BA book now or wait for sale?

We are looking for 3 outward journey tickets to Florida and 4 return flights.

In their sale in October/November they were five hundred pounds each they are now six hundred and eighty:(

We couldn't book then but are ready to now, should we wait and see if BA have a sale or book now?

Not sure if next sale will only be for travel up to mid July, seems your flights might be popular and may not be in any sale. Perhaps call an agent such as Trailfinders and see what their price is.

  • Hi, I'm also wondering if to book now or wait for Christmas/january sale for flights to LA around Easter?
    Best wins ever:
2012: Holiday to LA for 2 adults +2 kids for 4 days
    2013: £2 000 Virgin Holiday Voucher!
2014: $1000 spending money for hols
2015: 8 night holiday to Thailand

Sale fares usually specifically exclude fares at peak school holiday dates, for Easter I would book as soon as you can. Easter is very late in 2011 and many people seem to be adding the May Day and now the Royal Wedding Bank Holidays to make a long break of it, so LA is not going to be cheap mid to late April. Indeed a quick look at ba.com suggests fares are well over £600 already!

Some schools go back 26th April, so depends if you can travel out of school holidays or not.

It's worth remembering that not all routes and not all dates will be included in any potential BA sale - ie if you are looking at a popular route on popular dates you may not see any reduction in price.

I'd almost be tempted to book now to avoid disappointment.
