Centerparcs

We're thinking of booking a holiday to Centerparcs for autumn next year, and thought we would probably want to book a week, as the Mon - Fri breaks seem pretty short (with getting there Monday aft and leaving Friday morning).
I was hoping we would be able to get a week for £350 max, but have only seen prices of £600ish so far
Does anyone know which is the best/cheapest week to go and if there are any discount codes or anything to help bring the price down a little?
We need 2 bedrooms, as will have a baby and 2 toddlers with us.
Thanks

I've never been for a week only a 4 night midweek break. I've found out the cheapest time to go are September (after the kids have gone back to school) and January (when we're all poor after Christmas!!). Fortunately my kids school are very easy going about kids having holidays during term time so we get our breaks much cheaper. I tend to book as early as I can and already have a break booked for January 2012 for 6 people for the grand price of £199!! Which includes £25 free vouchers & £26.50 free insurance!
We do like to eat out when we go there (I cook all the time at home & I also need a holiday) so you do need a bit of cash in your pocket when you visit there.
Seeing you have kids not in school maybe you could take advantage of their low term time prices. Have a playaround with dates on the website & I'm sure you can surprise yourself!!!0 -
I'd actually reconsider the mid week break option. We went May 2010 and five days was more than enough TBH. We did however treat the first and last day like full days by arriving as early as possible and leaving about tea time on friday. Go to the closest one to you and cut down on journey time.
If you want a longer holiday you could always say book a mid week at center parcs such as lake district or Nottingham and combine it with a hotel stay locally to take in things outside the site, cause you won't leave center parc during your stay.0 -
If you arrive early on the Monday and leave late on the Friday, can you still spend your time in there? What would you do in the time you don't have your passes? (i'm assuming you have passes...)Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0

You are allowed on site at 10am (10.30 Whinfel), and get access to the villas in the afternoon. You can access all areas and activities after 10am on arrival day and up until 11pm on departure day.
You don't get passes. You park in the car park after checking in and return later when you want to drive onsite.
I always book activities like bowling for the morning we arrive, then go swimming at about 2-3pm when most arrivals go to their villas.
Stay until late on your last day to make the most of it.0 -
I've never gone in early/stayed late before (live about 3.5 hours from my nearest one)- but for our easter break we're travelling up to Lancaster on the Sunday evening (really don't fancy the M56/M6 junction on a BH Monday!!) so we're resting at a TL & then were only an hour away from Whinfell. I intend to go for a walk, & the girls love the Sports Plaza where they can go roller blading, play pool, outside playgorund & DS is only 2.5yr so he's happy in the soft play.
As Moneypooh mentioned you don't get passes. Which one are you thinking of visiting??0
