Question for the plasterers or the painters?

Hi
Recently had our house drylined throughout. Now totally dried out and have been emulsioning the walls. Noticed whitish staining through the paint in the area of the skim beads, this is very very noticeable when using dark colours.
Thought about spraying these areas with stainblock and then touching up again - has anyone any advice on this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Did you put a mist coat on? If not then that is your problem. You will have to work back from there - sorry.0

Sounds like you have failed to apply a mist coat and the plaster is salting around the beads. A stabiliser might be better than a stain block and then just re emulsion.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Thanks guys for the replies.
We did do 2 coats of watered down emulsion on all the walls- in fact for one room bought expensive paint from b and q specifically for newly plastered walls.
Should have paid more attention to the edges!!0 -
A lot of people just use a mist coat, but I took this advice when I had my walls plastered- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7DWFgI4pQk0
