Hello Rog2 you are excused :) as mentioned what set Alvin apart was that h`ed been there as regards having no money etc,so thought he would try to help others in simular situations,i know people sometimes cannot see a way out but to get some ideas maybe thats just whats needed, pull back on the reigns and say "cant go on like this old boy will end up in queer street" like mr Macawber :)

You hit the nail on the head there. He had actually been thousands in debt and living in poverty but got out and decided to help others. Other people who asvise on this havn't ever had any kind of money worries.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I came across Alvin before I discovered Martin and find that both have plenty of great advice, but tend to approach the subject of debt and financial stability from different angles - Alvin's is more 'know yourself' and Martin's is more 'know how it works and how to use the system to your best advantage'. I find a mixture of both really helpful. And they're both really nice, fun, kindly men, which I think helps when they're putting across tough messages.

I'm sure I read somewhere on the site (in the blog maybe) that Martin was saying that he knew Alvin and they had been chatting and discussed the idea of whether they could do a show together - mind you I might have just dreamed it.

Alvin is great, but the accent bothers me a little, much prefer Martin. He's my hero! :smileyhea
