Hi everyone, :j
I've been having a problem with filesonic on trying to download files - using the 'slow download' (free) function.
I always get the following message:
Download Error:
Free users may only download 1 file at a time.
I am clearly not downloading any other files at the same time. Have deleted my cookies and still get this prob. Could some please advise and get back to me as it's highly frustrating!
Ta!

They sometimes say you are already downloading a file and post an IP more than likely the IP is not even yours.
Rapidshare do/did that a lot, Use a different site, Or if you really must pay for it thats why they do it. If it didnt
cause you any hassles why pay for it. But then they wont make any money.
Not much you can do about it, If you have a dynamic IP you can try changing that. I am on O2 and my IP has been the
same for nearly 18 months. Even though i dont pay for a static IP.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The problem is most likely the IWF and your ISP using a transparent proxy which is why the IP address given is different to your own.
This Site will show what your IP address is, that will be different to the one shown by the file host which picks up the proxy address which everyone on your ISP will be forced to use when accessing censored sites. So someone else at your ISP must of accessed the file host before you. Only one person at your ISP can download from the file host at a time.
Almost all UK ISP's use internet censoring by the IWF. One way round it is to use a VPN. Even wikipedia got blocked for some time because of an image of a bands album cover.

Filesonic was recently added to the IWF as was Megaupload, which was a right royal pain for me as I'd stored photo's on there to share with my family abroad!..
The is a fix posted on the BE forums for it tho;
http://beusergroup.co.uk/index.php?id=468Edit6: drsox has found a workaround for filesonic! Replace "filesonic.com/" in the download url with "78.140.176.186/".0 -

It's the IWF.Simple as that.Hotfile & Depositfiles were added a few months ago & it was weeks before they were ok.Not to mention most ISP's don't want you using them anyway as a lot of illigal fileshareing goes on.(music, games,!!!!!! ect..)0 -

I don't use filesonic myself but I disagree with Be/O2 broadband and any other ISP's using the IWF and censoring people's traffic!
This trick might work for filesonic but won't work for other blocked file hosts!
I don't believe this has anything to do directly with child !!!!!!, it's more to do with rights holders trying to block file hosts. It wouldn't surprise me if the rights holders representatives upload such stuff themselves and then report it to the IWF to get the sites blocked. They will do anything dirty necessary to stop such services and that doesn't stop at uploading child !!!!!!. They have been proven to break international laws in the past so I don't think doing such things would prevent them from taking such actions!0
