Faulty Vacuum Cleaner

I purchased a Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner in May of this year from Amazon at a cost of £266. Last week whilst using it sparks began to appear from the motor area. I contacted Amazon to be told to Ring Dyson. I contacted Dyson who sent out an engineer within 3 days. He said it needed a new part fitted which he didn't have but said it was in stock and I should have it within 2-3 days. Needless to say it has not arrived. I contacted Dyson again to be told it had still not been dispatched as they had been so busy!

On reflection I think I should have refused to contact Dyson as my contract was with Amazon but having always been happy with Amazons service I did as I was asked.

I have now contacted Amazon again to complain and to say that I believe they should be sorting out the problem for me ie sending out a replacement. I have had two phone calls with them, each time speaking to different people who I find very difficult to understand as it would appear that English is not their first language.(do not mean to cause any offence) I have asked for clarification as to what they intend to to to rectify the problem but keep being told that they are "looking into it" whatever this means.

It is now nearly two weeks that I have been without a vacuum cleaner.

Can anyone advise me as to what I should do next please.

    that sucks.

Put it all in writing to them. Forget telephone calls, you need a record.
