Britannia easy saver

I opened a Britannia easy saver last year as recommended by the website.
I remember it saying that once opened and continued to put a min. of £20/month you would recieve a £10 co-op voucher in dec 2010.
Mine is going to mature in a couple of days, have had nothing in the post from Britannia. So I was just wondering if it was a marketing ploy to get people to open the account or if I imagined it.

It does not mature after one year, but continues at 2% if the monthly payments are still made. You need to request to close your account if you don't want it to continue. Your £10 voucher should be sent by 14 December.0

No sign of any voucher through my letterbox either, although I had problems with a bank not setting up the monthly direct debit which Britannia could use as an excuse not to send the voucher.0

I called them last week, they told me, the voucher is on the way being sent out to the customers. Not have one myself yet.0

There are delays in the postal system due to very poor weather.
I don't think you can expect mail to arrive exactly on time when parts of the country have been at a standstill.
Even in places where it's cleared up, there will still be a backlog.0 -
Thanks lisyloo - I understand your point (during the snow period even in London I only saw 1 delivery out of 6 due in the week - and saw nothing like the snow and ice other parts of the country are still suffering). I was merely seeking to indicate to the OP that they were not alone in not receiving a voucher to dispel the conspiracy theory
Hopefully the fact that no-one has indicated that they have received one yet indicates that they are indeed delayed due to the weather and postal backlog!0 -
