xbox memory question

Hi,
I bought a second hand flashed xbox which quickly went pear shaped so I bought the new 4gb one with the kinect.
My question is, can I attach the external xbox hard drive that clipped to the top/side of my old xbox to my new one? I can't see where it would clip in and don't want to start pulling it apart.
Thanks in advance
Barrie

you cant(well yes and no but it depends if ms class it as tampering), the hard drive is in a different place, you do know with the 4gb you are limited to space, you can use a memory stick to increase the memory,0 -
Supposedly it is possible to remove the old drive from the enclosure it's in and put it in a new Slim model, but there's questions about whether it may be seen from MS as tampering/modding at a later date and possibly get the console banned. There are YouTube videos out there on how to do it.Dave. :wave:0

Just to clarify it is the external add on hard drive I'm on about. To be honest it's no drama if I can't. I only play a few games as it is. I'll just get a flash drive or something if needs beI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

Inside the enclosure that clips off the end of the old Xbox is a SATA drive. Whether it's worth the effort to break into your new Slim model is another matter.

yes i understand what your on about,
if you dont decide not to do it bear in mind that you cant use anything bigger than a 32gb(i believe its 32gb) usb pen drive
as phantom says its up to you whether you fancy breaking into the slim0 -
